Fernando lopez is a paintor in search of –or perhaps finds, discovers- his motives in the reality of a city like ours: Buenos Aires, which although having specific characteristics, shares with the largest metropolis(?) and urban conglomerates, a dramatic vertigo and anonimous agressiveness as a result of the overstatedness of some of its constructions, the traffic on its roads and highways, the fantasmagorical brilliance of its billboards at night and its local color.

Fernando lopez, an urban paintor from Buenos Aires, who feels for and loves his city, and whose experience in theaters and television enables himself to lay out his themes in large plans wich are distributed masterly, harmonically balancing lines and colors.
The enormus buildings with a background of dramatic skyies relate his work with an expresionist attitude. Troughout his work the presence of beings or the ghosts of these beings who inhabitate this great city is implicit or virtually suggested.
